If you’re planning on shooting with a bow from a long distance, you’re going to need a bow sight. While you definitely can shoot without a bow sight, it’s really difficult to do this accurately -- especially from a long distance -- without a bow sight. And it’s really not recommended.
After all, we all want to be able to shoot accurately and professionally, don’t we? That’s the great thing about bow sights. They allow us to do this from a long distance. They allow us to do something that we really can’t without a little aide. Both beginners and pros can benefit from bow sights, for obvious reasons, but there are always some that seem to be better than the rest.
Whether it’s because they have added technology, they’re made a bit different, or they’re just a fan favorite, some bow sights are at the pinnacle of the list.
And now that 2018 is among us, we’ve decided to narrow down the best of the year (so far).
Here are our top choices.
The Field Logic IQ 5 Pin Sight is possibly the best on this list. While this is a more expensive product on this list, it is well worth the money (especially if you plan on using this product consistently). This bow sight is great for all hunters (not just for beginners, not just for pros) and is even good for someone who is just starting out in the game. This bow sight comes with trademarked technology that you really won’t get anywhere else -- and that’s what makes this so great. The tech really does help you become a better hunter. We're serious. It’s that good. Plus, it’s available for both left hand and right-handed users, which is always a plus.
To keep things simple, here area few pros and cons of this bow sight:
The TruGlo Carbon XS 4 Pin has incredibly clear sight and is incredibly affordable. If the bow sight we talked about above is too expensive for you (which we get -- it’s pricey!), then this is the next best thing. But just because it’s affordable doesn’t mean the bow sight is bad. It’s not! It’s a great product, and while it’s not as fancy or technologically savvy as the Field Logic one we talked about above, it still gets the job done and leaves you with accurate shots.
Additionally, this bow sight is quite lightweight -- which is great for those hunters who hate when bow sights are too heavy and mess with the balance of their bows.
To keep things simple, here are a few pros and cons for this bow sight:
The Trophy Ridge 5 Pin Bow Sight is lightweight and very accurate. This bow sight works for both right-handed and left-handed hunters. It is really easy to use -- even easier to mount -- and has such a stable and secure design and build that it can last for a long time, even if you are out in the field hunting consistently. The one thing that makes this model stand out is its accuracy. It’s quite great, and we highly recommend thinking of this bow sight if you’re looking for ways to improve your overall accuracy.
To keep things simple, here are the pros and cons for this bow sight:
This HHA OL-5519 model is great for a variety of reasons, but mainly because it’s a great tool for beginners to use. Not only does it come with incredibly easy and understandable instructions to help get everybody caught up to speed on their new bow sight, but it also is very, very great at being an accurate and precise bow sight. It’s possibly one of the easiest bow sights to use. It’s very durable (so you don’t have to worry about possibly having to buy a new one), it’s super easy to install, and it’s just an all-around great product. Some people don’t like it because you have to manually adjust the yardage each time, but this conreally depends on who you are as a hunter. It might not bother you at all!
